One month ago, we opened our doors for our first official day of classes for our already incredible membership of 50+ people, eager and excited to begin their journey at CrossFit For The People. In just one month, our amazing community has doubled in size to more than 100 friends (“member” doesn't quite capture the true label of who we are as friends and family in this growing community).
One week after we opened, we hosted our Grand Opening WOD, where people came from all over to help us break in the space with a bang. With John McEnerney as the mastermind behind the beats (DJing), and Stan Horaczek (Stay True Photography) behind the camera lens, we rocked out while more than 40 people tackled the “For The People 24/7” partner WOD.
The energy was electric. We all laughed, cried (happy tears of course), hugged, sweat, ate (thanks to MacroNu for the awesome eats), danced, and drank (cases upon cases of Truly Sparkling Seltzer) the night away.
Over the last few weeks, we have not only doubled in size, but we have seen so much growth already from each individual member. People are showing up, dedicated to putting in work and having a great time, and the proof is in the progress. Every day is full of personal records and pushing outside of our barriers and comfort zones, and that has been the most rewarding part of the first month of this journey.
As we continue to grow and cultivate a community unlike any other, we will continue to give thanks and extend our deepest gratitude to anyone and everyone who has supported us along the way, and those that continue to show up, do the work, and contribute to our #CFTPfam.
